I have been badgered quite a bit by people walking the neighborhood going door to door trying to sell me things . Mostly the guys with a freezer trying to sell meat , but also cleaning products and even the dreaded jehovahs witnesses . I am probably not the only one who doesnt like this going on - although I certainly am the most voiciferous one on this forum ! hahahahaahahahaha - anyway -  propose a nice "NO SOLICITATIONS" be erected at the entrance to our neighborhood to put an end to this ongoing nuisance.

Many of our neighbors have "No Soliciting" signs already in place on their front door. 

Personally I think that solicitations are an issue that each individual homeowner should be able to take care of on their own, without the HOA having to get involved.

The door signs are inexpensive ($1.25 at WalMart) and can easily be placed at the entrance of a home, should a homeowner wish to do so.
