National Night Out

Royal Lakes has a very strong, successful Neighborhood Watch program due to our block captains and the cooperation of our residents. We are alert to any unusual activity in the neighborhood and, through our strong support system, all residents are quickly made aware of any troublesome situations.

NW operates under the guidance of the Jacksonville Sheriff?’s Office which sponsors the Annual National Night Out. We participated in the ?“Night Out?” on August 2 by asking residents to turn on outside lights between 6:00 and 9:00 pm and walk to our beautiful new park for an ice cream social. Approximately 70 residents attended this event and everyone felt it was most enjoyable. Ideas were voiced that perhaps this would be the first of many socials in our park.

During the early part of the evening, Royal Lakes President Ciro Castro presented an award to Norb Lechwar as a thank you for his continual hard work and tireless efforts in making Royal Lakes a lovely place to call home.
