Hello, I am new (6 months) to this neighborhood and i must say I love it so far. This is our first home so girlfriend and I were a bit nervous about the process and location. But we have seen unbelievably friendly people here. We've been seriously renovating (beautification) our house for the past 6 months and within the first 2 months we knew all of our immediate neighbors (all very friendly and helpful) and every day that i'm out in the front yard people walking by just say hello and wave. This struck me because in previous neighborhood (golflinks harrison area) i lived there for 3 years didn't know or acknowledge anyone.
This area is great we're so close to all areas you'd need to go - restaurants, shopping, el con theatre, my second home - home depot, and soon the krispey kreme. And I'd say most of the houses in this area are pretty charming. Sure there are some eye-sores but what neighborhood doesn't. I've always admired the look and feel of ''poets corner'' on columbus/bway but i think rosemont west is the tops and i'm happy to be here.
