Rosemont West Neighborhood Association

President's Notes

Aug 27, 2002

The VIP program is still active in the neighborhood even though the Midtown TPD does not participate in it. We have made requests to the Midtown office and Ward 6 offices to activate VIP because we need to train new volunteers to keep our numbers up.

We have a new Department of Neighborhood Resources (replacing CNS) and the newsletters are looking much better. Thank You! Now their web page might need some updating although I am just as guity of failing to update this site.

No membership names will be published. We are very concerned with sniffers grabbing names on the web and using them to harass members (for commercial purposes).

Rumors of Bonillas Elementary building a structure on the eastside of the playground area has surfaced and we are sending a letter in hopes of getting some details.

We may have a neighborhood member that is going to the Bonillas meeting on an Ad Hoc basis and will pass on information as needed. We would like to get an RWNA Board Member on the committee.
