Riverside Heights Civic Association & Crime Watch

This incident happened at the the end of June, but I think it is worth mentioning: My car died at the corner of N. Blvd. & Columbus one evening shortly before dark. A police officer was passing by and helped me push it into the parking lot at King grocery store. I called AAA and waited for them to arrive. When it was dark, an obvious ''working gal'' sauntered up, and I could see her pimp just down the street watching us. She made it very clear that she was for hire, but did not come over to my car since I showed no interest, and after about 15 minutes of parading back and forth in front of me, she ''did her walk'' up & down that area of Columbus before returning to where I had seen her pimp down the street. Please, if you see this kind of activity in our neighborhood, call the police and let them know. The last thing we need is for these gals to get used to working our neighborhood. That corner is an eyesore during the day, and after dark it gets much worse. I never before realized how bad that corner is at night!
