RADO

RADO is Riverside Avondale Development Organization created in 1999 to develop projects that would help in the ongoing revitilization of the Riverside area//part the Riverside Avondale Historic District. The first project was an affordable home project. The was the purchase and complete rehabilitation of the RADO house, now restored back to private home ownership. This house located at the northeast corner of Park and James Street took over a year to complete and has been well-received by RAP and other community members. The RADO consists of Darrell Smith, Chair, Tony Salvatore, Treasurer & Finance Committee, Elaine Burnett, Vice Chair, & Marketing Committee; Susan Bancks, Secretary & Future Committee member; Chris Turvey, Committee Chair/Futures Committee, Barney Smith, initial Treasurer and Projects Comittee, Bonnie Grissett, Liaison/RAP, Tom Merten, Projects Committee
