Signs

Well if he took them he needs to give them back! Those were paid for out of pocket by your board members and contructed on personal time as a gesture to this community. It really is sad. And removing picket signs or advertisements is cool...but common!, there is no community posting board. These signs are placed out there by the HOA to inform the neighborhood of meetings. THEY ARE NOT SOLICITATIONS OR ADVERTISEMENTS!

Signs

I suggested a long time ago to purchase sandwich type boards (dry erase or with magnetic lettering) with a locking clear cover and chain them to the Stop signs or light poles. We had to resort to this this in my former HOA in Mesa, which had a vandalism problem that puts our to shame. They aren't all that expensive. Cardboard or some makeshift sign isn't going to work.

If someone within the community is stealing signs that needs to be stopped as well. If you know that person then why not step forward and say so? Send an email to a board member or to Brett. They aren't going to say who told. He could be doing other things in the community besides this and he's wasting everyone's money by being allowed to continue.
Sign stealer

I don't think it's right that someone is stealing signs BUT, I don't think they're doing it to be cruel. Signs technically are not allowed (although obviously it's okay if the HOA puts them out), and many people leave up signs long after an event. I would hope that whoever did it thought that they were helping to clean up the subdivision not ''wasting everyone's money''. I have no idea who did it, I'm just saying I don't think somsone is out to be cruel, they probably think they are helping and doing something good by getting rid of signs that have been left up to make the area look trashy. Yes someone should speak to them and explain the situation but I don't think we need to have a vendetta against the poor person either.
