What are your thoughts about the city of Tampa parks & recreation department limiting the access to the Spicola Pool on a seasonal basis?

I understand the City budget it limited now after the 2 votes to cut property taxes. Maybe there is something we can do as a neighborhood to work with the City to keep the pool open longer. I know one thing would be to use the pool when it is open, to show the City the community needs it. Maybe there is a way to set up a membership fee, so people who want to use the pool could help pay for lifeguards and maintenance.
