Meeting Summary for December 6, 2008

1. Discussion of breaki-ns in the area. Trend is daytime break-ins, but there have been a few incidents at night.

2. Alarm systems. Many people have alarm systems. There was a tip for a company called "Special Electronics" that offers service at around $18 a month.

3. There are concerns of mean dogs in the neighborhood. No resolution as to what to do with them.

4. Desert Cove School kids are unruly at the bus stop. Everyone call the school and let them know. The number is 449-3400. Bus stop of note is at 38th & Bloomfield Road, but if you notice a problem elsewhere let the school know.

5. Neighborhood needs better communication. Kim to set up e-mail (done) and website to post goings-on in the neighborhood (in progress). Please pass this e-mail on to your neighbors so they can be a part of the communication. Please send details of what you shared in the meetings about what has been going on in the neighborhood so I can use it to start the website. Kim will send everyone a link to OUr Neighborhood Web Page once it is up and running.

6. Stop sign at 38th Street and Bloomfield. Carol is getting details on this.

8. Light out at 36th Street and Bloomfield. Everyone call APS at 371-7171 and ask them to fix it.

10. Neighborhood clean up. Mentioned properties had downed carport ceilings, trash in side yards, overgrown yards, dead trees and overnight street parking. Report unkempt properties and code violations to 602-262-7844 or online at blight@phoenix.gov

11. Planting cacti/cholla in wash especially by the alley on 38th street. Can anyone find out how much it would cost to just plant some in the wash at the end of the alley to get us started?
