What would people think of designating a weekend this fall as a time for folks to have a yard sale at their house? I'm not proposing we all gather in any one place; everyone would be doing it out of their own home. But if all weekends are equal for folks, we can probably gain a lot more "traffic" by concentrating our efforts on a couple days. Folks that frequent yard sales like minimizing their travel time, and if we can advertise the fact that numerous families are all having their yard sale the same weekend, we may get a lot more customers. Neighborhood Yard Sale

Just a hint, for those who are unable to participate on the weekend, ask a neighbor you know if they will put a few of your things in their Yard sale for you. Remember to be kind and put the following information on each item you ask them to sell: The price and your initials so that when your item is sold, it is readily identifiable to whom the money should go. You may provide them with an envelope to keep track of your easy dollars or, you may go as far as providing them with a change box (if your trusting with change in it) with a list to the items that belong to you.
