What ever happend to the Neighborhood Watch program that was going on in this area? When it was going on, it was only on Friday and Saturday nights. I know most of everyone is busy. I know I am, but why was it alowd to fall apart?

I am at work and I just now stumbled across this neighborhood association web site that the City of Phoenix has for us. The block watch or neighborhood patrols had started about 4 years ago but members of the patrol came and went. When we lost some of the most active patrolers, no new neighbors stepped up to replace them.
We have tried to reorganize the patrol but there are only two people who can (or want to) do it right now. Feel free to contact us if you would like to help. It is not limited to weekends either. Anytime we can get the people together, we would like to do it. Our patrolers had a sense of frustration with the police as well. We would quickly spot drug dealers and hookers who were hanging around on certain corners but the police would not or could not do anything about them. Some of the patrolers thought, 'Why waste our time'. However, we do keep drunk drivers and "johns" from having eazy access to the neighborhood. We'll also be collecting info on drug houses and apartments.

You have waited a long time for a answer, I dont have one, sorry. However i am trying to understand what happened to our neighborhood watch??? Did all tmhe people who were involved just leave? I would like to no why we cannot find out about the crime/shots fired/etc in our neighborhood. Not statistics.Where do we get this info? ANYONE????????

I ALSO HAVE WONDERED WHY WE CANNOT GET INFORMATION ON CRIME/SHOTS FIRED/ETC IN ......OUR.......NEIGHBORHOOD.  I CAN NEVER GET ANY ANSWERS????
