Oaks II & III Neighbors

The City has marked the ground with orange paint to specifically identify our selection of locations for the 9 benches in the park.  Please take a look and give input, but do so quickly so that the City can move forward in notifiying the contractor.  

Marcia,  Brutus and I walked with Penny to see the locations.  I  think they are okay, usually in some shade.  It will be great to have them this summer, in the evening.

Today I noticed a location for a bench is marked at the south end of the basketball court. Should the city reorient the basketball courts as they had planned to do that probably wouldn't be a good bench location but rather alongside the court.

I also understand the Parks Department will allow the neighborhood to have input on whether to reorient the courts.  The new light poles however have been installed as if the courts are to be reoriented going north and south with larger courts.

Good point.  Maybe that particular bench could be moved to another area in the park since there is now a table near the court.  Any suggestions on where to move it? 

As for the reorientation of the hoops, the neighbors should definitely weigh in on what they want done/not done.  The next Board Meeting is 18March so any comments ahead of time would be a big help.
