Oakleaf Hammock

An attempt was made to gain access to a home on 2/12/10 around 10am.  The intruders ran the doorbell several times and knocked on the door.  Once they thought nobody was home they attempted to enter the front door.  The homeowner scared them off by pounding on the front door.  Please call the Sheriff's line 941-747-3011 if any suspicious people knock on your door, are selling anything out of their car, walking the neighborhood,etc. 

I have contacted the Manatee County Sheriffs office today to ask them for a patrol of our neighborhood and they said that they will patrol for a month and then we might have to call back again.  The are to patrol between the hours of 6:00am to 6:00pm.  I sure hope that this helps and honestly, I sure hope that they do patrol.  Also, the new management company Rizzetta has been great to deal with and is working with Ryland now to figure out a problem to deter the crime that is happening in our community.  I recommend that everyone in Oakleaf Hammock call the Manatee County Sheriffs office at 941-747-3011 to request the same patrol and hopefully if enough of us call it just might help out.
