I am not defending their behavior,  but you seem to be only focused on 41st street area.   This is happening in other parts of the neighborhood too.  

Lets be real and practical here..

Excessive noise (loud music) from a vehicle, home, business, etc.  is against the law.

People also by law should be able to have reasonable quiet enjoyment of their homes and neighborhood.

Parents can and will get citations if their kids are minors, and adults will just get them straight up if engaging in citable activities..

Police are cracking down hard on this kind of foolishness all over our city as part of our new police chiefs safe neighborhoods initiatives. and i don't think anyone wants to mess with him or our local district captain and officers. You will find this out if you attend our next neighborhood meeting on May 6th.

if this or other activity that violates the law is negatively affecting you or yours, try and take info. on vehicles, plate #'s, location, time of day, if you specifically know who the driver and passengers are thats even better! Call police and report it: 933-4444

OR even better, contact the Community Prosecution Team Officers at District 3 and pass the info. on to them. They have already been to the homes of some the offenders in the neighborhood over the past few summers, and not just those on 41st Street. They can be reached at: 935-7972.

Thanks for the info, I made some calls and we will see what happens with it.

I am not defending the behavior either, as it is quite bothersome also to me with 2 kids who are either napping or sleeping.  However, I am glad that I live in a neighborhood where we are worring about loud music and not other types of more severe crimes.
