As the new HOA President I am backing all my homeowners up on this. It is time to stop blogging about how we need a watch. Lets have people sign up and lets get this done.

In order for this to work properly we will need at least 10-15 people to sign up. That way not one or two are covering the neighborhood. To be honest that will never work. Email me at gardnertina18@gmail.com if you are TRUELY INTERESTED please. It will become a domino effect if people sign up and then not show up for support meetings and not help out at all.

I know that I have personally called the cops 2 times on suspicious activity. I also called when my own house got broken into 5 minutes after I set my alarm. Scary that the person had been watching me in the dark. I only went outside to let my dog in that was barking up a storm. So for those of you who have dogs maybe we should take a little advice when our furry friend is barking sometimes.

It is scary that our houses and cars are getting broken into. We have been lucky and knock on wood that no one has been hurt.

Ways to help detour the burglar.

(1) Put motion sensor lights in the back yards. If your handy and know how to run electric lines to your panel put some on the sides of your house, corners, and so forth.

(2) Put a motion sensor light on your front door.

They make a kit now that you can by from Home Depot, Lowe's, etc that you can add to your existing lights to make them a motion. Please check into this it just might help.

(3) Make sure that your coach lights outside your garage door are always working. Use the brightest type light you can find. I know that a lot of us are using fluorescent types but the above mention stores are now selling led type lights that are suppose to be better. I only gave a quick glance thru so don't be mad at me if they won't fit our coach lights.

Please let me know if you are willing to help our neighborhood.

Tina Gardner

President

FYI folks: Tina has requested emails related to neighborhood issues be sent to gardnertina1876@att.net and not the address mentioned in the post above.

I'm willing to participate in a neighborhood watch program. Is the HOA planning to canvass or flyer the neighborhood for volunteers? I am willing to help spread the word, just let me know.

We are going to establish a Neighborhood Watch Committee. We already have someone to head this but he can't do it alone. If you are concerned about ALL the resent break in PLEASErespond to help. With Christmas coming up I think that this problem is going to escalate more with a lot people out of work. Think about all the money your going to be spending on Christmas presentS. Now imagine walking in your door OR waking up and there gone! I am not trying to instill fear BUT this is a big reality that WE AS A COMMUNITY NEED TO NIP IN THE BUD RIGHT NOW. All I am asking is that we need watch captains for all the streets and will need to section each one off for captains. Sign up today it still is not to late to help. My email is gardnertina1876@att.net

Thank you,

Tina Gardner
