Well actually that's wrong because the date is May 2005 that is AFTER some people moved in, they need to change that. Because how can they add your lot if your where already in here before restrictions were made up and recorded and didn't sign? I don't know just telling you what i read. That should be changed for all you who didn't sign the restrictions, i would think anyways.

It is my understanding tha the builder did not post or distribute and record the restictions untill the date of May 2005 that is AFTER some people moved in, they need to change that. Drive thru the neighborhood and look at the following items . Are these items in violation
1- Builder lots not mowed 2 Home owners lots not mowed 3- Fences over 5 Ft High 4- Vehicles parked in side yard 5- Non tagged Vehicles parked in side yard 6- Large Commercial Trucks parked in driveways 7- Clothes lines in side yard 8- Flag poles in front yards 9- Business signs in front yards 10- Sheds 11- Construction trailer on vacant lot 12- Swing sets over 5 Ft high 13- Jungle gyms over 5 Ft high 14- Bird feeders and houses over 5 Ft high 15- Statuaries and metal sculptures in yards

I believe that I was the one who started this thread. I wanted the architectual committee to grant me permission to construct a 6' fence to obstruct the view of my neighbor's unkempt yard, which also happens to include tall statuary. Again, to each his own. But I don't want to be forced to look at this.They refused my written request, which included the cost, property map with the fence marked, a description, picture and explanation of the fence, along with my reasons for the fence and concerns. I got back a denial of my request, stating as the reason " the bylaws and covenants clearly state 5 feet is the maximum height that is allowed unless you are directly backing Elks Lodge Road." My copy of those bylaws has no such restriction, which means that someone included this restriction without a vote or say from the homeowners. This denial of my request was signed by only one member of the architectual committee, whoever they are, no answers or comments about my concerns, no mention of when and who met to discuss my request, no mention as to whether anybody went to take a look at the situation--They told me to resubmit a request for a 5' fence with new info and then suggested an additional section of fencing, which would necessitate a gate and more cost, to run to our house for, get this, aesthetic purposes. My question is: Do those running the homeowners assoc. plan to ask homeowners for advice, opinions, votes for future plans or do they feel they have carte blanche to dictate whatever they think is appropriate? I understand there is a meeting in Milford library on 9/29.I will be asking it then. some are. some are not
