Did you know that the Park across the street, now known as Veterans Park, is on a lake zoned for recreational use? The city has been awarded FEMA funds to repair the shoreline which was damaged by the hurricane which must be repaired before the boardwalk can be fixed.

There is a boat ramp for non motorized boats and boats with electric trolling motors. This would be perfect for sialing small boats like Sunfish, for canoing and for paddling in a paddle boat.

The city Parks & Recreation Department has asked our opinion about a floating dock (like the one in Royal Palm Park) and for exercise stations. Please let them know what your thoughts are!
