I found it "STRANGE" that board members of the county commission are held to lower standards of attendance than mostly non paid committee and board members serving for the most part free.
For example. On all the city boards and committees you must attend 65% of all meetings. This is also true for county. Failure to attend 75% of meetings results in not being able to be reappointed when your term is up.
If you miss any three meetings or committee meetings your are removed automatically.
Yet we have a County Commissioner miss 5 months of public meetings. Still gets paid, and gets to keep medical benefits! I wonder how disability awards are made for both county and city staff. Would they be as fortunate?
