We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2020, at the age of 96, Marjorie Houston Sims (Charlotte, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Sherwood Houston and Edna Spears Houston; her husband Robert L. Sims; and her siblings, Mildred Stutts, Annie Brawley, Rachel Mayhew, Billie Sherrill, Mae Honeycutt, Jean Robinson, Herman Houston, Harry Houston, Glenn Houston and Thurston Houston.

She is survived by : her daughters, Pamela Sims DeRuvo (Lou) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Robin Sims Osborne (Tim) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Louis DeRuvo (Casie), Natalie Warren (Peter) and Shawn Clark (Sara); her step-grandsons, Derek Osborne (Lauren) and Tyler Osborne; her great grandchildren, Anthony, Alivia DeRuvo, Scarlett and Silas Warren; and her siblings, Marvin Houston of Lancaster, CA and Nancy McClure of Wilson, NC..

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2020 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service – Pineville Chapel (10500 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2020 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Iredell Memorial Gardens.
