Aldi Foods Has Leaf Bags This Week

Posted in: Madison Park

If you want to give paper leaf bags a try you can get them 5 for less than $2 bucks at Aldi Foods this week.

Paper Bags are the preferred bag for leaf collections as this bag will decompose.

Plastic bags cost the City more to drop off at county site, and the leaves have to be debagged either on the route (time consuming) or in the leaf yard.

Also plastic is hard to keep out of the mulch for sale.

You should be able to grab some bags at a Meck County full service recycling sites while they last for free.

Full-Service Drop-Off Centers:

Foxhole Recycling Center
17131 Lancaster Highway
Charlotte, NC 28277
12300 N. Statesville Road
Huntersville, NC 28078
Charlotte, NC 28215

140 Valleydale Road

Charlotte, NC 28214

You can also use your own containers without lids.  That probably is the best way to dispose of your leaves.   Environmentally Friendly and you can simply recycle your containers.

Composting is another good way to dispose of your leaves.  You can buy a variety of composters online and at some hardware type stores.

National Wildlife Federation recommends putting leaves in natural areas for Wildlife.
