It was pretty easy. I stood in a neighbors driveway and filled it out on top of her trash can while she was out in the drive. She then just had to sign the ballot envelope and put her address on it.
I then took it down to the board of elections. No wait for me. You go in and they have you fill out a form with who is turning the ballot in and your address etc.
Once you do that you witness the staff person drop it in a ballot box.
Remember only certain family members can turn in your ballot in person. So don't send a neighbor down with the ballot it want be accepted. You can turn in your own ballot though with no issues. There was plenty of parking today. So I was in and out in 5 minutes tops.
You can print out a copy of the sample ballot ahead of time if you like and mark it. That way if you are using a friend or neighbor as a witness you can mark it quicker and spare them having to wait for you. Then just transfer the markings to the official ballot in front of your Witness.
HAPPY SAFE VOTING!
If you mail the ballot you can follow it through a link provided by BOE to ensure they receive it.
