Loud Incident / Crash on Londonderry Road around 11:10 PM

Posted in: Madison Park

I was sound asleep and woke up to a loud bang around 11:10 PM 7/24/20 that I thought was lightning.    My dog was shaking and jumped off the bed.  I got up to let her out the rear door,  but she didn't go.  I walk to the front of my home to see people standing and pointing different directions in the street  I didn't see anything but a parked SUV.      I opened front door to ask if they needed some help and someone called my name.  It was a neighbor yelling for me to come look at my yard.   Apparently someone was traveling Londonderry toward Tyvola on my block while there was a car going down Londonderry toward Chedworth.  They were afraid they were going to get hit head on and blew their horn.   This driver coming up the road over corrected and left the road at 5229 Londonderry a few feet from street, ran through a flower bed at my house, and nicked a tree at my driveway.    It traveled across my drive and hit a second tree in the center of my yard before it spun around in the street.   The eye witnesses that were driving said the driver continued up toward Tyvola where he apparently hit something else.    Then after all this the guy comes back and this couple still in front of my house that were nearly involved and witnesses said he stopped and they spoke to him.   They said he appeared to be on something.   He jumps back in his car leaking fluids and travels at a very high rate of speed back down toward Chedworth direction on Londonderry Road.

One of my neighbors who witnessed him speeding off called 911 and it turned out the witnesses driving had at least video of the car on their cell phone with the license tag recorded.   They provided that to the officer and he went on his way.

You literally can see the tire impressions through both my neighbors yard and my yard.

At least it appears everyone so far was not injured that we know of in the incident.

Actually this one was worse than we could see last night.  The car barely missed a car parked on the street at 5229 Londonderry.  Crossed the street going into the front lawn of 5214 Londonderry Road crossing his driveway and 5208 Londonderry's Driveway.  Went through the middle of that front lawn before it took out a giant Cypress tree knocking it into the driveway / lawn of 5200 Londonderry.   Then it traveled partially through their lawn and it came speeding back down Londonderry the opposite direction.    So a total of 5 yards on two sides of the street had damage.
