Looks like Charlotte and some other Mecklenburg County Towns will soon have a new rule that alcohol sells must end by 10 PM.    Mayor Lyles already stated earlier this week she was for doing this in Charlotte, NC.  

BREAKING: County officials are drafting a resolution that will ban alcohol sales at restaurants after 10 in Charlotte, Davidson, Matthews, Mint Hill and the unincorporated parts of Mecklenburg County @wsoctv

This is being done in part due to some restaurants showing overflowing crowds late evenings in Charlotte.

Leaders in the towns of Cornelius, Huntersville and Pineville “have decided not to sign on” for now.  So if you desire to eat and booze you can travel outside of the area restricted it in Mecklenburg County.
