Don't get me wrong I think owning slaves was wrong, but this is interesting facts on the topic. Made me think on the issue of reparations if this were ever done would the descendants of the black slave owners in U.S. get funds?

In 1830 there were apparently 3375 free black people that owned 12,740 black slaves.
Also made me wonder if the descendants of the free blacks in the north and south would ever get reparations. This story below stated more free blacks lived in the south than in the north.
I also didn't realize the American Indians owned slaves.
Complicated subject for sure. One I was never taught in history class.
Something to think about now with all that is going on in America.
