City of Charlotte only picked up about 17% of its total yard waste routes last week. City reports they are seeing 3 times the normal amount of YW at the curb. This in part is due to recent storms and the suspension of weekly YW service.
Just over 38K locations were serviced last week for yard waste. Crews will continue to pick up the routes until everyone has at least one pickup of YW. YW is being picked up Monday through Saturday during this one time clean up.
Staff is wearing safety gear and only a few workers are picking up due to the Covid-19.
