National Night Out 2018

Thank you to all who came out to one of the 118 National Night Out events this year on August 7! This annual community-building campaign promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live. It has been occurring in Charlotte for over 25 years. Thanks for taking the time to celebrate community, safety, and #CLT250 in your neighborhoods!

This initiative has been repairing homes in the Charlotte region for over two decades. Check out the photos here.

  • Farmers' Market Study Shows Gaps, Opportunities in the Charlotte Region
Access to fresh and healthy food is crucial for neighborhoods, and farmers’ markets are places where residents can come together, obtain healthy food, and improve their health. In order to explore Charlotte’s local food systems and economy, we launched a three-year study that was completed this summer. See the results, including our regional gaps and opportunities, here.
