Help Fight Crime - use Your Eyes - Dial 911

Posted in: Madison Park

Keep your eyes open and Dial 911 every time you see unusual suspicious activity in our neighborhood.

Let's keep the criminals running until we get them back out of the community.    Just about every year around summer we get spikes in crime.

If blue lights are showing up every time a criminal is coming into the area or that is starting to or about to commit a crime they will go to another place to do their dirty work.

Let your neighbors know when you are leaving town.   Stop your mail.

Don't make it easy for criminals by not paying attention.

Remember you don't even have to have CMPD come to your house or follow up with you.   They will ask if you want an officer to come by your home or not.

Just call 911 and report what you are seeing that is out of place like our Crime Watch Signs Read!   We Report All Suspicious Activity.

Give details.......such as descriptions of people, clothing, what they are doing.   Give detailed descriptions of vehicles in your neighbors driveways when you know they are not home.

Give those descriptions of door to door people.

We all have the power to help CMPD with our eyes and keep our neighborhood safe.

Don't be the person wishing you had called something in.

CMPD had rather you be wrong than you not call.

Remember it is the smacks on the hands that keep these criminal coming back.  Our Justice system allows thieves to commit crimes over and over without really doing much to them.   At election time choose those candidates that will stand up to crime and make tougher laws in our state.

Also be extra safe when shopping in our shopping areas along our neighborhoods.

Armed Robberies, car break-ins, purse snatching, and lots of shoplifting occur pretty much every single day near us.    So Be Alert at all times.    There has been 3 strong armed robberies in recent days in the Archale / South Blvd aream and one at Park and East Woodlawn.    I personally think a lot of this current bump in crime is due to the light rail bringing in crimina

Be Alert!   Be Safe!  Call 911 whenever you see something that doesn't appear right!

Take a couple of extra minutes at night and look out your windows when getting up for water, bathroom or any other reason.  You never know what you might see going on outside.   If you see something report it to 911 if is appears suspicious.    Every one dong this in our neighborhood will make a difference on crime!

You can really do this any time of day.   There are a lot of neighbors that work, but there area also a lot of neighbors hone every single day.
