  •  My Sister's House Celebrates 10 Years
Over the past decade, the face of homelessness in Charlotte has changed. One of the ways the City of Charlotte helps address this issue is by providing funding to and partnering with Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO).

Friendship Community Development Organization is a CHDO in Charlotte that operates My Sister’s House, a transitional living program that helps to empower single, adult women to become self-sufficient by providing safe, temporary housing and life skills training. The program recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, where more than 130 people attended the breakfast to celebrate, participate in the affordable housing conversation and support the organization.
