The 2015 Selwyn Park Neighborhood block party is tentatively scheduled for September 26 and planning has begun. In order to ensure the block party is a success the neighborhood association board needs several volunteers. We’d like to have all volunteer positions filled by August 1 and ask that volunteers sign up for just one of the following groups.
- Group A: Raffle Prizes (4 volunteers needed) – Contact 4-5 local businesses that donated last year during the month of August.
- Group B: Flyer Distribution (2 volunteers needed) – Distribute flyers to the neighborhood prior to the block party near the end of August.
- Group C: Block Party Set-Up (3 volunteers needed) – Arrive 1 hour prior to the block party to help with set-up.
- Group D: Welcome Table (4 volunteers needed) – Welcome and direct neighbors as they arrive at the block party. Collect money for raffle tickets and food. 2 hour shift.
- Group E: Food Service (4 volunteers needed) – Serve food to neighbors during the block party. 2 hour shift.
- Group F: Tear-Down (3 volunteers needed) – Assist with tear-down immediately following the block party.
