We have many more eyes in our community than CMPD. Please don't hesitate to report any suspicious vehicles or people in our community.
When your call 911 be specific as to what is suspicious.
Some examples: Stranger pulling vehicle up driveway, or going behind homes where you know person is not home, Circling the block driving slow. Knocking on front doors and then going to the rear of homes. Someone up around windows of a home with shrubs looking in windows. Many many more scenarios. If it hits you in the gut as odd behavior call 911.
CMPD wants us to call them.
If you call tell them descriptin including clothing. If you are reporting a vehicle if there is somthing that stands out like dent, decal on window, crack windshield or something report that during the 911 call. This greatly assist the officers when responding to connect with the correct vehicle.
Many of our crimes were stopped by citizens in the community by calling 911. Tips make a differnce.
The other good thing is if criminals see police cars responding the will leave our community.
