Non Recycling Week Pickup 11/5/14

Posted in: Madison Park

For all our new neighbors:

This is a NON recycling can week.  Pickup Wednesday 11/5/14.  If you have trouble remembering the schedule print a calendar from the link on our home web page.   Green recycling cans go out just every other week for pick up.    Do not place bagged items in your green cans, or throw in trash.

Recycle what you can.  The materials are sold, and it helps keep our overall waste removal cost down.  Great for the environment and your wallets.

Trash in your gray cans should always be bagged.

Bulk goes out only when scheduled through 311, and no sooner than the day prior to scheduled pickup.

Yard waste goes out the day prior to pick up just like your cans, and other scheduled waste.

Use the link on the home page of this web site for prep tips, and other helpful info that will help ensure the waste is picked up.   Info was also included in the minutes for Oct. 2014 for Yard Waste Prep.

Remember to remove your cans by midnight pick up day.  If you are not going to be around ask a neighbor to grab your can off the street for you.

Fines for curb it start at $50, and can involve the cost of removing waste if contracted for removal by city.

We have had a couple of situations in recent weeks where items have been missed on certain blocks.  I know my entire block was missed for yard waste 3 weeks ago.

Remember the workers have until 7 PM to complete their rounds.   If you are missed simply call 311 and report.   Someone will return to pick up the items. You can place any curb it items for pick up,  including bulk that has been scheduled out the day prior to scheduled pick up.  You must have the items on the curb by 6:30 am on the actual pick up day to ensure pick up.

Recycling Calendar is under links.  Click the pages and links heading from home page and you will find it under helpful topics near the top.     It was pushed down 1 position when the neighborhood boundary map was added to the home page, removing it from the home page.
