2015 HOA Board Elections


2015 HOA Board Nomination Period is Now Open (Begins Oct. 1 and ends Oct. 31)

  • To be eligible to run for a board position, you must be a Homeowner residing within the boundaries of Madison Park and be current with HOA annual dues ($20 per year).

Positions on the ballot are:

Vice President - serves 1-year term with eligibility to run for a consecutive 1 year term.  

Secretary - Serves 1-year term with eligibility to run for a consecutive 1 year term.  Incumbent - Margaret Sexton

Treasurer - Serves 1-year term with eligibility to run for a consecutive 1 year term.  Incumbent - Mitch Jackson

Director (3 open positions) - serves 2-year term with option for a consecutive 2-year term (max)

Note 1:  President role will become open for 2015 as President Delby has completed her 1-year term.  The President role is a 1-year term with eligibility to run for a consecutive 1-year term. This position must come from the current board and is not eligible for the Community election process per the bylaws, therefore the Board nominates and votes to approve the candidate.  Douglas Welton, current HOA Board Vice President, has been nominated for the President role for 2015.  The Board will vote at the November 10 meeting to confirm and approve.

The Nomination Review Committee consists of:  Martin Doss, Valerie Delby and Sam Perkins.  The committee will review each nomination for consistency with bylaws and make recommendations to the HOA Board. 

Note 2: The historical verification process for confirmation of “Homeowner” status is determined by Tax Records.

We have a boundary map on this site now if you are not sure if you are fully in our footprint.  

 

Many of our directors over the years have maxed out their terms.   We have 2 this year that are coming off due to mandatory 1 year breaks in service being required.  

 

Directors are limited to two 2 year terms back to back.   If they don't serve as an officer they are required by the bylaws to come off the board for a minimum of 1 year, after those 2 full terms as directors.   Officers serve 1 year terms and can go unlimited as long as re-elected each year.   Only exception is the President.   President must come from current HOA board after service of at least 1 year on the board.
