Madison Park Treebanding Grant Full

Posted in: Madison Park

The following is a message from President Delby regarding the Treebanding
Neighborhood Matching Grant:

We have hit out 200 tree match for the Neighborhood Matching Grant (NMG)
application currently in process.  Thanks to everyone who participated and we
will update you once the application has been approved by the city (likely
November) and at that time we will deposit your pledge checks into the HOA bank
account to pay SilverDuck Treebanding to perform the services.

Nothing further will be needed from participants at this time, however
SilverDuck Treebanding suggests that homeowners mark the trees they wish to have
banded with a string (or the like) prior to the service to help expedite.  If
you cannot mark the trees then they will ask you at the time of service the ones
you wish to have banded.

If you were unable to participate in the grant or if you would like additional
trees covered, SilverDuck Treebanding will honor their discounted rate of $30
per tree for all Madison Park residents.  You may contact them at
info@treebanding.com to setup the additional service.

Thanks again to Madison Park for “Banding Together” to help with the ongoing
CankerWorm issue!
Valerie Delby
Madison Park HOA
President

You will not need to mark your trees until we send out notice in November that our grant has been approved.

Then you can mark the trees with ribbon, bright tape, or even put a little sketch / map on your front door of which trees in case you are not going to be home.

Black Hawk Hardware sales banding materials in fhe fall.  You can measure your trees and do it yourself.   Just give them the measurements and I am pretty sure they can cut what you need to do the job.

The good thing about Silver Duck is there is no staples or nails in the outside layor of the band.    Just a few on the under layer.   So no damage to the tree from the band.

Remember we have filled all our slots for the 2014 Banding Matching Grant.
