Support the 2014 Animal Kneads Day

Animal Kneads Day is Animal Care & Control's (AC&C) largest annual fundraiser, held at Great Harvest Bread Company, which has tripled in size since 2007 and continues to support the initiative to address animal overpopulation.

Each August, Great Harvest Bread Company owners and staff donate their time and ingredients to make hundreds of loaves of bread. Volunteers from AC&C staff the counter and offer bread to customers for a $10 per loaf donation. All proceeds go directly to the AC&C Free Public Spay & Neuter Fund.

CityLYNX Gold Line Public Art Showcase

The City of Charlotte is building new bus/streetcar waiting stations along East Trade Street and Elizabeth Avenue. Nationally-known artist Nancy O’Neil worked with Levine Museum and other partners to gather historic images, then create collages that will grace the stations’ glass walls. A new exhibition provides a sneak peek at that art. The public is invited to an afternoon reception to see the exhibit, meet artist O’Neil and others involved in the project.

Sunday, September 7
Levine Museum of the New South (200 E 7th St.)
5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

This event is FREE and open to the public, but space is limited. Click here to register to attend.
