WSOC has this story on their web site today that a young hispanic male was shot and killed last night on Old Pineville Rd while riding a bike.
The story says near South End. I don't really think Archdale Drive is near South End, but concern is this happen at 10:45 PM on a Friday Night.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was shot and killed near South End late Friday night.
Officers responded to an assault call in the 6400 block of Old Pineville Road around 10:45 p.m. and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics rushed him to Carolinas Medical Center where he died.
Channel 9 was at the scene Friday night as detectives were collecting evidence.
Detectives are still investigating the killing, but have not been able to identify the victim yet.
Police describe the man as Hispanic, approximately 16 to 20 years old. He has a thin build with a short haircut. He was wearing a black tank top, red basketball shorts and black and white sneakers.
Detectives said the victim was riding a black bicycle.
