Senior Citizen Nutrition Program– Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:00pm, The Tyvola Senior Center is a congregate meal site for the Mecklenburg County Senior Citizen Nutrition Program (SCNP). Daily programs are offered to all participants in this program and many are open to non SCNP participants as well.

Health Suite – Persons 55 and better are eligible to use the Health Suite. Expect increased aerobic activity, an increase in lean muscle tissue, increased range of motion and joint stability as well as a decrease in body fat and resting heart rate! Recent studies also show lowered risk of Alzheimer’s disease for regular exercisers. Health Suite Circle Groups are classes focusing on strength, flexibility, balance and stamina that are offered by a HS Coordinator/UNCC Graduate Assistant and volunteers. Senior Citizen Nutrition Program– Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:00pm, The Tyvola Senior Center is a congregate meal site for the Mecklenburg County Senior Citizen Nutrition Program (SCNP). Health Suite – Persons 55 and better are eligible to use the Health Suite. Expect increased aerobic activity, an increase in lean muscle tissue, increased range of motion and joint stability as well as a decrease in body fat and resting heart rate! Recent studies also show lowered risk of Alzheimer’s disease for regular exercisers. Health Suite Circle Groups are classes focusing on strength, flexibility, balance and stamina that are offered by a HS Coordinator/UNCC Graduate Assistant and volunteers.
