Another Message Tip from Lt. Gwaltney: Lt Gwaltney, I responded to a call for service today at Woodlawn and Murrayhill in ref to juvenile’s standing out on the sidewalk in front of houses. They said they were just using wi-fi because someone had no locked it. They said that they walk around the neighborhoods on the sidewalks looking for “free” wi-fi sometimes after school. It might be helpful to mention to residents that password protecting their wi-fi might keep unwanted traffic out of their neighborhoods. Hardenbrook
Side note: I had this exact scenario happen at my home last year. I called 911 after seeing this person looking at my house from the middle of the street. He showed up a few different times. He then would sit on the property line I share with my neighbor. It turned out he was using my neighbors wi-fi.
Thanks Martin
