A Little Free Library is a great way to share books with friends and neighbors. People walking by are allowed to take a book (or two) and return or replace it with a book of their own. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation Friends Council supports the initiative through book donations. Neighborhoods interested in having a Little Free Library are asked to check their eligibility for Neighborhood Matching Grants and attend a pre-application workshop. Pre-application workshop dates for the June 15 deadline are available on the Neighborhood Matching Grants website. Residents may also complete the pre-application workshop online.
