News from the City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services - February 2014 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Collection Services Update Garbage collection is being provided according to the normal schedule this week. Residents who have accumulated extra garbage are asked to double-bag it and place it curbside on their collection day. Residents on Orange Recycle Week who were not serviced the week of February 10, will be serviced this week. Residents should keep their rollout carts curbside until they are serviced. Those who do not receive service by end of day, Thursday, February 20, should call 311 (704.336.7600). Yard waste collection remains suspended for the week. Requests for presentations must be made at least two weeks in advance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cart Repair and Replacement Has a wheel fallen off your rollout cart? Is the lid damaged or broken? If your cart needs to be repaired or replaced, Solid Waste Services will take care of it for you. Simply submit a cart repair or replacement request by calling 311 (704.336.7600). In order to receive cart repair services, the rollout cart must be curbside beginning the day the service request is made. Please allow up to two business days for cart repair or replacement.
