Have A Grease Free Holiday Season

Tis the season to Recycle It! While enjoying the holidays, please remember to properly dispose or recycle the oil leftover from holiday cooking. To properly prepare oil for disposal/recycling:

  • Mix cooled oils/fats with an absorbent material, such as coffee grounds, and place in a lidded container and dispose of in the garbage cart.
  •  Place cooking oils/grease in containers and take them to one of Mecklenburg County's Full-Service Recycling Centers for recycling.
