In the Charlotte news and observer there is an article about a neighborhood called Crown colony asking for rezoning..... It will be voted on Wednesday..... Is our neighborhood working on this...... Have we looked at how they did it......

I sent that to Jarrett Hunt this am.  I asked if he knew why our request that he worked on for more than a year was not in the list.   It was discussed in the past.  Jarrett was on the board for 1 full 2 year cycle and that was his focus in 2011 and 2012.   He was trying to get our high school rezoned to Myers Park or South Meck.   He was hitting brick walls, and then the subject did come up at a school board meeting, but I never heard anything else about it.   The CMS [person in the story Scott is the person he worked directly with on the request. 

 

I heard a few months ago that there is a new easier procedure to make such request.  I told Jarrett about it at that time. 

 

If you are interested in the subject, feel free to give it a shot.  You can use our web site, and our HOA meetings (we can put you on the agenda).   I know others have a interest in the subject, but most are not willing to put the time into it. 

 

It would be a  great thing if we could ever make it happen. 

 

I might have more info when Jarrett responds to me, like if he was ever flat out told no. .

Jarrrett did share the following just now.  I know he gave the subject a 2 year effort, spending a great deal of his time working on it.    

 

So frustrating. CMS has been very unresponsive.
