Remember when giving to charities that come door to door to do your research first. This is the time of year people are going door to door or calling asking for donations of merchandise and cash. Make sure if you are in a giving mood that you choose wisely so your gift actually does some good. Asked some questions, check the BBB, do a quick online search before giving anything especially to door to door request. Don't ever feel pressured, and if things seem like a scam report the person(s) to 911.
