Over the last month two or more deer have been hit and killed on Tyvola Road. There was a large one on the Sidewalk just before the Autobell driveway 3 weeks ago that had been hit and killed. This weekend there is another dead deer in the median of Tyvola just down from the Queens Sports Complex.
Be extra alert driving through that area. Residents have told me there have been several in the neighborhood. I had one a few years back that jumped my rear fencem and got trapped in my rear yard.
You do not want to hit a deer. It could cause major vehicle damagem and even kill you if it goes through the windshield.
They tend to dart and sometime another will be coming behind it.
A neighbor told me they think this one had tracked the Queens Sports Complex fence line around one of the sports fields, and darted into traffic.
