Important Treebanding Alert Starts 11/15/ to 11/17

Posted in: Madison Park
Thanks to everyone taking part in our Madison Park HOA City of Charlotte Treebanding Grant.   I signed the Matching Grant contract last night at 6 PM at Old City Hall.   This evening at 7 PM I signed the contract with Silver Duck Treebanding.   I also provided Silver Duck all the locations in Madison Park that are taking part in the treebanding provided through this grant tonight.  The route will start sweeping East to West across each section of Madison Park starting in the Drexmore area of our community.

There are 150 trees being banded through the grant, including some at Madison Central Park,  these are being done through my volunteer hour match.   Thanks to LIsa Charde for reminding us to do some trees in our Madison Central Park.

The process of applying the bands will take place starting Friday 11/15/13, and will wrap up Sunday 11/17/13.   YES, That is this WEEKEND!

It is very important if you are not home to leave a detailed note/sketch on your front door to which trees need to be banded.   I know some of you did every tree on your lot, while others did just certain trees.   You can also mark the trees with tape or ribbon if you choose.   Silver Duck knows the total number of trees you paid 50% for banding on each property requested.

If you did not take part in this grant and still want your trees banded you can stop the crew banding and let them know, or contact  Silver Duck Treebanding @ www.treebanding.com
You will have to pay full service if you did not take part in the grant this time.

Treebanding.com has a link on our web site.   Should you have any issues contact them directly, as they are the vendor for this grant project.

The next step after this weeks bands go up will be to apply the tanglefoot after the leaves are all down.  This step will take place from Thanksgiving weekend to Dec. 19th, 2013.

The removal process will take place in April of 2014.
The HOA meeting minutes should be out by Saturday evening.  Thanks to Margaret Sexton for acting as our Secretary for our November 11th, HOA meeting.

All Payments of Dues are now being Credited to 2014.

If you did not take part in the grant your rate in Madison Park will be the flat rate of $30 per tree from Silver Duck.   That is a flat special rate from his regular prices.

I heard from Silver Duck today.   They are busy banding our trees.  So if they have not reached your location yet, expect them later today or Sunday for sure.

Remember this step is just getting the bands up.

He will be back to apply the tangle foot at proper time.   (you don't want leaves falling off and sticking to the tanglefoot, because it will defeat the purpose of putting up the bandsworms will crawl over the leaves as a bridge).

Then sometime in the spring he will come back and remove the bands for you.

1-2-3   Easy for us!

If you wish to be added grab the crew when you see them, and you will need to pay the full (30 dollars per tree) which was a special flat rate we received for our grant.

You can contact them at treebanding@hotmail.com   Visit treebanding.com  web site link is on our home page under links.

More trees banded the better for all our trees.
