2014 Madison Park Board and Elections of new Directors

We extended our nomination period an extra week and no one came forward with interest in joining the board.   We provided an opportunity at the meeting for anyone to step up and had no takers.  

 

Leaving our HOA board at the end of the year due to maxing out their terms are

 

Sue Valentine Plyler

Richard Akers

Bernice Ledford

 

We thank each of them for their many years of service.  All have served 4 or more years. 

 

In the middle of their terms and continuing for 1 more year in 2014 are

Dee McCandlish   (Middle of her last term before required 1 year break)

Matt Magnasco (Middle of his 3rd term) Had a 1 year break already

Valerie Delby (Middle of her first term)

Russell  Hodge (Middle of his first term)

Cheryl Furr (Middle of her term)

Martin Doss (automatically goes to director for 2 year term at the end of 2013 as president)

Up for re-election for one last term is

Douglas Welton

Richard Todd

Margaret Sexton (Margaret is trying out for the officer role of Secretary and will do the job if she can make it fit with her schedule in 2014).  Minutes are required to be distributed within one week of the HOA meetings.  She said she would be able to get them out by Saturdays. 

 

Officers Serve 1 year terms and Directors 2 year terms.  Officers can be elected year after year, but our directors are limited to 2 two year terms back to back without a 1 year break.

  

Officers Identified for 2014 are

President       (Open) Must come from current board member that has served at least 1 year.

The board has until Jan. 2014 to decide who will fill in the open officer positions.   Normally we have this worked out when we elect new directors in November.
