If you own your home in Madison Park, and pay your dues you can submit your name to Madisonparkhoa@hotmail.com to apply for a director role for 2014. The commitment is a 2 year term. Term begins Jan. 1st, 2014.
We are now in our Open Nomination Period. We will take nominations via the Madisonparkhoa web site until 11/3/13 from those interested in serving. That will give us time to prepare a ballot.
Please include for the nomination commitee a little background about yourself. Dee McCandlish, Cheryl Furr, and resident Tina Christen will be reviewing the submissions.
Tell us where you live in Madison Park and how long you have been living in Madison Park. Tell us briefly why you would like to serve on the board.
We will be looking to add a couple of directors to replace those leaving after years of service. Our Directors are limited to two 2 year terms back to back before a 1 year required break.
Our HOA board does much of its communication VIA e-mail. We meet face to face a couple of times a year as a board, unless something comes up that requires immediate attention.
Our HOA meets every single month so those are really like public board meetings.
Board members are expected to help wtih community projects and take part in a supportive way as much as possible. They also head up things like Madison Central Park Volunteer Day and Adopt A Street Clean Ups.
The HOA realizes that people have various limits as to free time.
We also know people bring different talents to the group.
Based on the interest in serving we might need to have a ballot for our paid members to vote at the November meeting.
