Sept. 9th Meeting / Park Clean up Sept. 7th / Tree banding

Posted in: Madison Park

Join us this Monday night for our Sept. 9th, HOA Monthly Meeting.    Due to the primary on the 10th we will meet this one night inside the main church.    Guest Speaker will be from the YWCA.  If you have our meeting signs put them out now at least 11 feet off the curb to remind others of our meetings.

We are in need of a new Secretary.  If you live in Madison Park and own your home, and are interested in finding out more about this very important role in our HOA contact us at Madisonparkhoa@hotmail.com   Unfortunately since this is a board member position we are required per our bylaws to only have a homeowner fill the position that lives in our boundary footprint.    We welcome rental tenants to take part in a variety of other ways and appreciate your participation.

Also don't forget our Madison Central Park Work Day this Saturday at 9:30 am.   Matt Magnasco one of our Directors, is heading up this work day.   Some of the weeding and arbor work has already been done thanks to Lisa Charde & Stacy Raynor.  But we'll still need to do more weeding, edging (BRING YOUR POWER EDGERS!).    We would like to mulch but need someone with a truck to go by Compost West at the Airport and get a load of mulch there.   If you can do that let Matt know at nggofers@bellsouth.net .

Also Monday Sept. 9th is the last day to turn in your form for the Tree banding Matching Grant.   We are going to submit an application for tree banding to the City of Charlotte Matching Grants,  and attempt to get 50% of the cost of each tree banding request we have paid by the grant.    Your part is just $15 dollars per tree if the grant is approved.     Details on our web site.  The deadline for submitting the form and check is Monday 9/9/13 in order to be included in this grant.  You can turn the form and deposit check  in at the meeting.   Several of you have already submitted forms.  Thanks for getting them in so quickly.

Selwyn Park board asked if they could take part in our Tree banding grant.  Yes, just use the same form on our web site home page and ensure you get your check in our hands by Monday Sept. 9th PM.     I will then include you guys in our grant application.   Again though you must get the form to me with the post dated check for $15 per tree by Monday the 9th.   I have to submit the application by the end of the week and will need time to figure and record all the data.
