Still trying to work out this possible grant. In order to submit an application I have to get 2 companies to provide quotes. Treebanding has already given me a verbal price, but I have not been able to connect to get something more firm in writing from them.
Hopefully, I will be able to get something firm in writing by end of the week, so we can see the exact price we might be able to offer to those that are interested in the banding. The plan will be to have each person wanting treesbanding to pay a part of the cost up to 50%. We would then apply for a grant for the other half. We would use one of the local companies to do the banding. If Treebanding does the project they band, come back and apply the tanglefoot, and then come back a 3rd and final time to remove the bands in the spring.
We do have several people that are interested in having their trees banded this fall.
If I can't get these quotes firm in writing in a timely maner we will not be able to move forward with the project as a grant.
