I had someone ask if it was a legit charity this am.  I have been getting NSPIRE calls for months.  This week I started gettting Hope House calls, but no messages left and when I picked up it would disconnect.  I had not really given it much thought, but after getting the question this am I tried to do a little research.     I found some complaints out of TN BBB that specifically reference  ATL NSPIRE operating Hope House.   Read BBB REPORT below.

 

I could find nothing on the ATL BBB for a local ATL charity.     I have asked CMPD if they could check for anything they might have on them, but have not heard back. 

 

You will have to make you own mind up at this point if you wish to put out anything for pick up.

BBB has received reports from local consumers and from the Maury County Center Against Domestic Violence/Hope House, located in Columbia, TN, that
Middle Tennessee consumers are being solicited for donations from a company using the name "Hope House."

Maury County Center Against Domestic Violence/Hope House provided BBB with the following information:

"These calls are not coming from our Hope House (Maury County Center Against Domestic Violence.) These calls are coming from an agency called Nspire which is operating a program called Hope House out of Atlanta. They have stated they intend to open a transitional housing facility for victims of domestic violence in the Davidson county area. We have received numerous complaints about this agencies solicitation process and have taken every step we can to clarify we are not doing this. (see the notice on our website at www.hopehousetn.com) The Director of this agency is Gregg Kennard. The address for his websites are www.nspireatlanta.org and www.hopehouseatl.org. We have asked him to ensure that the solicitors are clarifying who they are but we have continued to receive complaints indicating that they are NOT clarifying who they are...."
