The following updates have been made to the CharMeck Alert Center:

  • Charlotte Department of Transportation upgrades its winter weather road treatment plan
  • Pet owners are reminded to take precautions to keep their pets warm, dry and safe
  • Solid Waste Services has suspended yard waste collection services for Friday and Saturday, and has modified other collection services due to winter weather conditions
  • REMINDER: City of Charlotte offices close at 3 p.m. and Mecklenburg County offices closed at 1 p.m. Field operations and essential services will remain operational throughout the weather event.
